Annabelle Lilliston Colonna

Mrs. Annabelle L. Colonna, 75, wife of Billy Joe Colonna, Sr. and a resident of Melfa, VA, passed away Saturday, August 12, 2017, surrounded by her loving family.

Born April 25, 1942, and reared, in Deep Creek, VA, she was a daughter of the late Earl Wesley Lilliston and Edith Mae Williams Lewis.  Annabelle retired as Postmistress from Jamesville Post Office, having worked for several post offices on the Eastern Shore throughout her twenty years of service.  She was a charter member of Faith Baptist Church, and enjoyed reading and playing computer games.  Annabelle happily devoted her time to her church and dedicated her life to serving the Lord and taking care of her family. 

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her two children, Joanna Colonna of Virginia Beach, VA, and Billy Joe Colonna, Jr. of Melfa; sister, Diane Blankenship of Melfa; brother, Turk Lilliston of Onancock, VA; grandson, Chase Gordon Colonna of Willis Wharf, VA; and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held at the Faith Baptist Church on Saturday, August 19, 2017 at 2:00 p.m., with The Reverend Robert Madron officiating.
