Ed Lee Wolf
November 12, 1925 ~ April 27, 2017 (age 91) 91 Years OldMr. Edwin Lee “Ed” Wolf, 91, husband of Carolyn A. Wolf, and a resident of Melfa, VA, passed away Thursday, April 27, 2017 at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury, MD.
Born November 12, 1925 in New York, he was a son of the late Charles Wolf and Estelle Hacker Wolf. Ed served his country in the United States Army during World War II, and later attained his law degree from New York University, where he was also a member of the varsity tennis team. Though he enjoyed tennis, and continued to play after college, his greatest passion was golf. Following retirement in 1999, Ed and Carolyn moved to the “Greens” on the Eastern Shore, ensuring Ed would be no more than a golf cart ride away from playing eighteen at the Eastern Shore Yacht & Country Club.
In addition to his loving wife of sixty-five years, he is survived by his two children, Jeff Wolf and wife Lea of Haymarket, VA, and Sue Delaney and husband Tom of Flemington, NJ; three grandchildren, Samantha Wolf, Jennifer Delaney, and Eric Wolf, sister-in-law, Betty Wollman Wolf; nephew, Charles Wolf; and niece, Gail Sayadian. Other than his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Morton R. Wolf.
A memorial gathering to celebrate Ed’s life will be held at the Eastern Shore Yacht & Country Club on Thursday, May 25, 2017 from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. Private interment, with military honors, was held at the Fairview Lawn Cemetery.
