Eleanor was a wonderfully funny and smart friend. I looked forward to hearing from her and getting an update in a Christmas card. Her spirit will live on in her many friends.

I will miss the lady I called "Aunt Annie" . She and my mother were best friends and when I was a child, I loved seeing her when she would come to visit from Washington. Her laugh was contagious and could melt the most pompous heart. She was the last member of the Accomac High School Class of '38.

I enjoyed seeing Eleanor at Mary Paul's and talking with her. A true Southern Lady. She was so proud of the Davis "girls" and their families. I will miss her.

Anne:

I thought of you playing the organ at Holy Trinity when we were preparing for Claire's wedding there. I'm glad to hear from you and hope you are doing well. Thank you for your thoughts about Eleanor.
