Ethel May (Walker) Glunt

          Ethel May Walker Glunt, 98, a resident of Painter, VA, formerly of Pennsylvania, passed away Sunday, July 9, 2017 at Riverside Shore Rehabilitation Center, in Parksley, VA.

          Born October 3, 1918 in Philadelphia, PA, she was a daughter of the late Harold Walker and Ethel Bell Walker.  Ethel retired from the YMCA in Levittown, PA, where she worked as a greeter for many years, and was a devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  Over the years, she enjoyed horseback riding, square dancing, and crafts. 

          Survivors include her four children, Ethel M. Crittenden Bunting of Painter, Maitland T. “Tom” Hall of California, Dennis J. Costello of Penna, PA, and Edward H. Comfort and wife Benita of Nevada; sister-in-law, Joan Walker of Pocono Mountains, PA; and many grandchildren, nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her two sisters, Prudance Snyder and Betty Finnin; brother, George Walker; sons-in-law, Edwin F. Crittenden, Jr. and Keith Bunting; and two daughters-in-law, Jerry Hall and Rose Costello.

          A memorial service will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, in Onley, VA, on Saturday, July 15, 2017 at 2:00 p.m.
