George Thomas Hall

Mr. George Thomas Hall, 53, of Melfa, Va., passed away on Saturday, August 29, 2015, at Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital in Nassawadox, Va.

Born May 10, 1962 in Nassawadox, George was a son of the late Vernon F. Hall, Sr. and Fannie Spady Hall.  He was a waterman, worked in the seafood business, and was a former member of the Wachapreague Volunteer Fire Company.

Survivors include a son, Collin Thomas Hall and his fiancée Brooke LeCato, of Richmond, Va.; two sisters, Mary Pittman and her husband Greg, of Newport News, Va., and Kay Crockett and her husband Jerald, of Onley, Va.; three brothers, Sam Hall and his wife Laura, of Wisconsin, Rick Hall and his wife Kathy, of Wachapreague, and William “Bubbie” Justice of Wachapreague; and many nieces, nephews, and their families.  In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by two sisters, Nancy Hall Wallace and Connie Hall Weaver; and a brother, Vernon Francis “Bud” Hall, Jr.

A graveside service will be held at the Wachapreague Cemetery, Thursday, September 3, 2015 at 2:00 p.m., with The Reverend John Burr officiating.  There will be a visitation at the Williams-Onancock Funeral Home, from 1:00 until 1:30 p.m., prior to the service.
