Ginger Miers Jones
January 23, 1921 ~ January 16, 2016 (age 94) 94 Years OldMrs. Gilberte Miers “Ginger” Jones, 94, wife of the late William Henry Jones and a resident of Cape Charles, Va., passed away Saturday, January 16, 2016 at Heritage Hall Nursing Center.
Born January 23, 1921 in Vaucouleur, France, she was the daughter of the late Francois Miers and Marguerite Dier Miers. Mrs. Jones was a member of St. Charles Catholic Church.
Survivors include two sons, Claude F. Jones and wife Norma of Nassawadox, Va., and Marc A. Jones and wife Linda of Cheriton, Va.; and four grandchildren, Will Jones and wife Liz, Shannon Dunham and husband Garrett, Beth Payne and husband Shawn, and Kimberly Jones; and eleven great-grandchildren, Ryan, Luke, Ben, Rykert, E.J., Victoria, Max, Graham, Noelle, Jordyn, and Isabella.
Funeral services will be conducted from the chapel of the Williams-Onancock Funeral Home, Saturday, January 23, 2016 at 1:00 p.m., with Father J. Michael Breslin officiating. Interment will follow in the Fairview Lawn Cemetery.
