Gregory Johnson
September 21, 1957 ~ August 7, 2015 (age 57) 57 Years OldGregory Earl Johnson, 57, passed away on Friday, August 7, 2015 in Newport News. He was born September 21, 1957 in Albemarle County, Virginia. Greg was the son of, Aaron and Shirley Johnson of LeeMont, VA.
Greg joined the United States Marine Corps following graduation from Parksley High School in Parksley, VA. After his service in the Marine Corps, he worked for Anheuser-Busch in Williamsburg until he retired after 32 years. Greg loved music and played drums in various bands throughout his life. He was an avid golfer. Greg and his brother, Scott, worked together in a business that was Greg’s dream.
In addition to his parents he is survived by his wife, Tina; two sons, Gregory Earl Johnson II and Aaron Paul Johnson; a grandson, Sylas Grey Johnson; his brother Scott (Tammy) and nephew Tristen; his brother, Doug Shifflett; and his sisters, Janet Salotti, Sandra Hooper and Shelby Stevens.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Sunday, August 23, 2015, at Grace United Methodist Church in Parksley. There will be a reception in the fellowship hall following the service.
