She was a former neighbor of mine. I thought that it was sad that her beautiful home was always referred to as "The old funeral home" in spite of how beautiful she made it.
One day she was busy hanging lights at the Railway Museum getting ready for Santa's visit and she chuckled to me "I must really love this place. I don't even hang Christmas lights at my own house."

To the family of Helena - We knew Helena and Dr. Killian, but not real well, however we saw how dedicated they were to their community and the Eastern Shore Railroad Museum among many other endeavors. I know she will be missed for her contributions, especially the ESRM. Peace and blessings to you all.

Dear Bill, Juanita & Bobbi: I was saddened to read of the passing of my dear cousin, that I will fondly remember as "Butchie." I treasure all the memories of seeing her at the family get-togethers we had at the Erdman house, especially the last one at cousin Paul's house. May all the fun times and good memories get you through this difficult time.

I remember working with Helena while I worked for the Health Department. She always had a smile when she talked to you. She will be remembered and missed. Sorry for your loss.

To a good friend, neighbor, and smart intelligence person whom adopted me as her daughter. I will miss her dearly but she will be with the Lord and Bert- whom she misses so very much. She isn't in any pain now. She will be one of the "stars" in the sky looking down on us and I will look up and think of her every night of all of the fine memories we shared. I love you Helena.

My deepest condolences to Helena's family. I worked with Helena for several years at the Accomack Co. Health Dept. and during that time was fortunate to become friends with her. I always appreciated her frankness, candor, and sense of humor. She was a true original and I know she will be sorely missed.

My Deepest Sympathy. Although it is really difficult right now, thinking about precious memories, happy times, funny times, special times, and sharing them with family and friends can be a real source of comfort. Another source of comfort is God, leaning on him when you are going through tough times. Second Corinthians 1:3, 4 says, "Praised be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of tender mercies and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our trials so that we may be able to comfort others in any sort of trial with the comfort that we receive from God." How encouraging, you lean on God for comfort, and God gives you comfort and strength, in turn, you give comfort to others. What a support system. May the God of all comfort, comfort you and give you the strenth you need at this very difficult time.
