I'm so sorry for the loss of your loved one.
God views death as an enemy. (1 Cor. 15:26)
And, he is eager to conquer this enemy death, and to resurrect our loved ones. (Job 14:14,15)
At this time period, death will be no more. (Rev 21:4) The Bible gives us a wonderful hope for our future.

Please accept my condolences during this time of distress. While it is indeed sad that you are mourning the loss of your dear Jack, it saddens God more. In the days ahead, you will reflect on seemingly small, yet precious memories. However, take comfort in knowing that just as you have memories, almighty God remembers too. The difference is, only God has the ability to restore perfect life on earth to those in His memory. Notice how the Bible stress this fact in the faith strengthening video link Below:
