God views death as an enemy. (1 Cor. 15:26)

And, he is eager to conquer this enemy death, and to resurrect our loved ones. (Job 14:14,15)

Please accept my condolences during this time of distress. While it is indeed sad that you are mourning the loss of your dear Jack, it saddens God more. In the days ahead, you will reflect on seemingly small, yet precious memories. However, take comfort in knowing that just as you have memories, almighty God remembers too.
