Joe Taylor

Mr. Joseph Alfred “Joe” Taylor, 76, husband of Delores “Joan” McDaniel Taylor, of Parksley, VA, formerly of Stockton and Tyaskin, MD, passed away at Arcadia Nursing Center in Parksley, on Sunday, October 15, 2017.

Born March 18, 1941 in Accomack County, VA, he was a son of the late Fletcher Lee Taylor II and Mary Marie Taylor.  Joe served his country in the U.S. Army Reserves; retired from the Campbell Soup Company; was an avid Baltimore Ravens fan; and enjoyed fishing and NASCAR.

In addition to his wife, survivors include his children, Joseph T. Taylor (Gayle) of Salisbury, MD, Tracy T. Somers (Shane) of Parksley, Leslie C. Wintermoyer (Richard) of Willards, MD, Lisa Marshall (Tracey) of Newport News, VA, Libby Aydelotte (Ben) of Stockton, and Jody Shay (Clif) of Pocomoke, MD; grandchildren, Kyle A. Taylor, Eli Somers, Lyle, Alyssa, Briana, Sydney and Hayley; great-grandsons, Caleb, Channing, Cash, Creed and Ian; sister-in-law, Ann Taylor (married to Fletcher III) of Exmore, VA; and several nieces and nephews.  In addition to his parents, Joe was predeceased by a son, Gary Wayne Taylor; sister, Nellie Annis; and brother, Fletcher Lee Taylor III.

A memorial service will be held at the Williams-Parksley Funeral Home, Saturday, October 21, 2017 at 2:00 p.m., with Pastor Freddie Ward officiating.
