Lois Lynne (Borland) Spohn
September 16, 1944 ~ September 21, 2017 (age 73) 73 Years OldMrs. Lois Lynne Spohn, 73, wife of the late Andrew Gerald Spohn and a resident of Belle Haven, VA, passed away Thursday, September 21, 2017.
Born September 16, 1944 in Oklahoma, she was the daughter of the late Gilbert Borland and Oral Rich Borland. Lois was raised on the family farm, in Kansas, and forever remained a farm girl at heart. She was a graduate of the University of Kansas, where she majored in musical therapy. Throughout her career, Lois worked as a musical therapist for hospitals in Boston, Nashville, and New Jersey. Following retirement, Lois and Andrew relocated to the Eastern Shore, where she was a member of Craddockville United Methodist Church, played in several Bridge groups, and especially enjoyed traveling.
Lois is survived by her son, Phillip Borland Spohn of Belle Haven; and her daughter, Kristen Spohn Runk of Lawrence, KS; three nieces; three nephews; two grandnieces; five grandnephews; and one great-grandnephew.
A service to celebrate Lois’s life will be held at the Craddockville United Methodist Church on Saturday, October 21, 2017 at 11:00 a.m., with The Reverend Robert Kelly officiating.
