Mrs. Margaret Anna Frantz “Peggy” Eames, 84, beloved wife of Robert “Bob” Eames, and a resident of Painter, VA, passed away, Sunday, September 13, 2015, surrounded by her loving family.  

Born May 23, 1931 in Tylersville, PA, she was the daughter of the late Paul Bruce Frantz and Ida Mae Somerville Frantz.  Peggy was a former merchandiser for Storecast, Inc., and later retired as co-owner and operator of a travel agency, Accent on Travel in Accomac, VA. She was a gifted seamstress, an incredible artist, and had a great passion for gardening.  She was a member of the Woman’s Club of Accomack County, where she faithfully served in the Garden Club, sharing her artistic talents; a member of the Eastern Shore Yacht & Country Club; and a devoted member of both Holy Trinity Episcopal Church and Naomi Makemie Presbyterian Church.  Peggy dedicated her life to helping others and was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend.  

In addition to her husband, she is survived by four children, Bruce Hills of Albuquerque, NM, Jan Hills Johnson of Santa Fe, NM, Joe Hills and wife Stephanie of Schellsburg, PA, and Jill Stevenson and husband Mark of State College, PA; a step-daughter, Lisabeth Capozzi of Mechanicsburg, PA; a brother, Bill Frantz and wife Lorraine of Tylersville; seven grandchildren, Jessica Morlock, Adrienne Czarniak, Phillip Hills, Aza Hills, Emma, Anna, and Abigail Stevenson; three step-grandchildren, Louis Capozzi, Jeremy Olsen, and Hannah Lauer; five great-grandchildren, Noah and Riley Morlock, Jack and Charlotte Czarniak, and Adalind Hills; and several nieces and nephews.  Other than her parents, she was predeceased by a son, Jon Hills, a step-daughter, Edith Olsen Lauer, two brothers, Bruce and Tom Frantz, and her former husband, Ronald Rippey.   

A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted from the Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in Onancock, VA, on Saturday, September 19, 2015 at 1:00 p.m., with The Reverend Berkley Ford officiating.  A private family interment will precede the service.
