Nan Sloan

Nan Fisher Sloan, 79, wife of the late Gerald W. Sloan and a resident of the Hermitage on the Eastern Shore in Onancock, Va., formerly of Galloway Township, NJ, passed away at her residence on Sunday, October 4, 2015.

A native of Ventnor, NJ, she was born May 2, 1936, to the late Elizabeth Seoing Fisher and Victor Stanley Fisher.  Nan attended Ventnor area schools; was a 1954 graduate of Friends School; and was graduated from Wheaton College in Norton, Mass.  Prior to retirement, she taught in the Absecon School System for over twenty-five years.  Along with many other fond memories, those of Nan as a loving and caring Wife, Mother and Grandmother, will be forever cherished.

Nan is survived by a son, Robert “Bob” Sloan and his wife Janice, of Atlantic, Va.; a daughter, Susanne Hartman of Egg Harbor Township, NJ; her grandchildren, Rebecca Hartman, Andrew Hartman and Erica Williams; and her great-grandchildren, Bella and Gracie Williams.

In addition to her late husband, to whom she was married for fifty-two wonderful years, and with whom she is now reunited, and her parents, Nan was predeceased by her brother, Victor S. Fisher, Jr.

At her request, no formal services are planned.
