Mrs. Naomi Beauchamp Pruitt, 88, wife of the late Wallace Pruitt, and a resident of Harborton, VA, passed away Saturday, May 28, 2016 at Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital, in Nassawadox, VA. 

Born November 26, 1927 in Reedville, VA and reared in Onancock, VA, she was the daughter of the late Fitzhugh Beauchamp and Lena Beauchamp.  Mrs. Pruitt was a devoted member of Harborton United Methodist Church, where she was the church pianist, for several years, and a member of the choir.

She is survived by her three sons, Victor Pruitt and wife Debbie of Onancock, Jeffrey Pruitt of Pungoteague, VA, and Stewart Pruitt of Nassawadox; one sister, Phyllis Edwards and husband Donald of Northside Chesconnessex, VA; one brother, David Russell of Onancock; four grandchildren, Karen Fowler and husband Shane of Melfa, VA, Travis Pruitt and Danielle Martin of Onancock, Shannon Boggs and husband Matt of Onancock, and Natalie Pruitt of Richmond, VA; six great-grandchildren, Justin Martin, Owen Fowler, Emmalyn Fowler, Cameron Pruitt, Raelynn Boggs, and Hunter Pruitt; and several nieces and nephews.  In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by two brothers, Fitzhugh and Billy Beauchamp; and one sister, Gladys Hartin.

Funeral services will be conducted from the chapel of the Williams-Onancock Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 1, 2016 at 2:00 p.m., with The Reverends Barbara Parker and Charles W. Parks III officiating.  Interment will follow in the Fairview Lawn Cemetery.  There will be a visitation at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.

Flowers will be accepted, or memorial donations may be made to the Harborton United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 137, Pungoteague, VA 23422.
