I knew Paul from his volunteering days at Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital and his email friend. I would send Paul interesting emails and even jokes. He would reply with a little chuckle or words of wisdom. I really enjoyed talking with Paul. Always so polite and a sweet smile.
I was volunteering on September 7th. I went to Paul's room to say hi. Little did I realize that would be the last time I saw and talked with this sweet man. He didn't remember me at first. Then as we talked he smiled and knew who I was. How could he forget the volunteer that talked, laughed and teased all the time. I treasure that visit. God bless you Paul Converse.

Dear Converse Kids, Just wanted to say farewell to my "knight in shining armor." The country has lost another one of our "great generation," but I have lost someone really, really special to me. I met him when I was nine when my sister brought him home as her husband, more than fifty years ago. He was a man of integrity with much wisdom and a lot of kindness. He and my sister helped me financially to finish college (the first one in my family). He was the kind of man I wanted to find in a husband, and I did. My love to all of you and the grands. Pitty Pat

I'm signing on this quest book not because I will be able to be there with you guys but to Honor a great man who lived a life that many will never experience. I feel he didn't just live life but jumped into everything he did with both feet. That is something that you hardly ever see anymore, that to me is greatness. Matt I only know you but I'm wishing your whole family blessings unto you all. Love both you and Laurie

How sad it is that you are mourning the loss of your dear Paul. Please accept our condolences. Certainly, this is a very painful period. However, take comfort in knowing that God is aware of your pain and in due time, he will indeed act to forever remedy the despair as expressed in this encouraging video*:

Can I get more information from the bible about the condition of the dead. I thought people die and go to be with God or burn up somewhere. Oh, I know, I'll request a bible study from JW.ORG. Thanks so very much!

Thanks for sharing your warm message and this video link. Death is something that is hard to bear and robs. God is loving and certainly no robber. Thank you for posting this message with the attached video link. It explains what God will do one day.
