Sorry to hear of Coach Parks passing. He coached girls softball, assisting Mrs. Christian, while I was at Central High School. To this day, I have always cherished his coaching and we were able to play all softball positions which helped me throughout my softball adult years. He was kind and always showing us how to succeed on the field. Know that GOD is with you always. Central High School, Class of 1970

To all of Thomas Ray's family: I am so sorry to hear of his passing. Thomas Ray was one of the first people I met when I came to the Eastern Shore as a young bride of Phil McCaleb in 1963. Phil and Thomas Ray coached football together at Central High School for many years. He and Penny will always be remembered by me as good friends who could do most anything (for example, play bridge of an evening with nine children asleep in bed) and just were enjoyable, and resourceful people. Thomas Ray was very easy going and a pleasure to know.

To all the Parks family, please know that I have you in my thoughts and prayers. My goodness our families shared many things in common. To think about how many lives of the young men on the Eastern Shore they have effected is so significant. They all will share with you how important your Dad was to them and for me that has offered so much comfort over the years. I hope it will to you as well. Let me be the first to offer my memory of your Dad and how great a person he was.

Dear Parks Family,
I am so sorry for the loss of your loved one. Times like this can be very difficult to deal with. At times, you may feel like there is no one to turn to. You may even feel like no one understands your pain. But there is one person we can turn to that can help us through all of our trials. Yes, God can help you during this difficult time. Pray to him constantly and he will help you. (2 Corinthians 1:3,4 Isa. 26:19)

I am saddened to hear of Coach Parks passing. I was fortunate to have been coached by him during high school in the 60s and he taught me so many of the basics. I recall many practices and games where he provided great leadership. I know many of us who were the benificiaries of his excellent coaching will keep his family in our thoughts and prayers...and I for one will cherish the great memories during the time he coached at Onancock High School.
