Vivian Beatrice Bailey

Ms. Vivian B. Bailey, 84, resident of Arcadia Nursing Home & Rehabilitation Center in Nelsonia, VA, passed away Sunday March 26, 2017, after her long, courageous journey with Alzheimer’s disease.

Born August 20, 1932 in Craftsbury, VT, she was a daughter of the late Arthur Bailey and Charlotte Wells Bailey.  Vivian enjoyed playing Bingo, looked forward to weekend flea markets, and had a great love for elephants.

Survivors include her five children, Catherine Janci and husband Frederick. Jr. of Wachapreague, VA, Wendell Kennison of Tucson, AZ, Charles Kennison and wife Debbie of Morrisville, VT, Christopher Odiorne and wife Kathy of Bedford, NH, and Robert Pilbin of Santa Barbara, CA; four brothers, Morton Bailey of New York, Garth Bailey, Duane Bailey, both of Vermont, and Brian Bailey of New Mexico; sister, Bertha Bailey of Vermont; fifteen grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by three sisters, Lois Tallman, Carole Allen, and baby Joyce; and baby brother, Arthur.

In accordance with her wishes, funeral services will be private. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Arcadia Nursing Home & Rehabilitation Center, P.O. Box 97, Nelsonia, VA 23414, where she spent the last several years of her life.
