Mr. William Kelley “Bill” Hill, 74, beloved husband of Nancy A. Hill and a resident of Oak Hall, VA, passed away Sunday, February 26, 2017 surrounded by his loving family.

Born February 25, 1943 in Nassawadox, VA, he was a son of the late William Edward Hill and Grace Kelley Hill.  Following graduation from Northampton High School, Bill served his country in the United States Coast Guard, where he specialized in communications.  Upon his return to the Shore, he began working for the former C&P Telephone Company, retiring in December of 1992.  He was a member of Red Bank Baptist Church and the Eastern Shore Anglers Club.  Bill loved going fishing and camping with his family, and there was nothing he cherished more than time spent with those he loved.  Once his illness kept him from casting a line, Bill spent a lot of his time playing poker on his Kindle.  He will forever be remembered for his courage and strength, and especially for his unwavering dedication to his loved ones.

In addition to his loving wife, and best friend, of thirty-two years, Bill is survived by three children, Donna Faye Phillips and husband Parks of Parksley, VA, Brian Kelley Hill and wife Beverly of Parksley, Lisa Hill Gibb and husband Gary of Melfa; step-daughter, Alisa G. Bishop and husband David of Oak Hall; eight grandchildren, Jessica E. Bonniwell and husband Jeremy, Karrie E. Phillips, and Tyler and Trevor Hill, all of Parksley, Nicholas and Alexander Gibb, both of Melfa, Alysen Bishop Bozman and husband Roland of Oak Hall, and Shelby Bishop of Parksley; two great-grandchildren, Paityn and Leland Bozman, both of Oak Hall; special cousin, Shirley Hill Shaw and husband Norman of Eden, MD and their daughter, Rosalie Mauser and husband Bruce of Delmar, DE, and special companion, “Lilly”.  Other than his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Carrol Franklin “Frankie” Hill; and uncle, Marion Hill and wife Elizabeth “Libby”.

Funeral services, with military honors, will be conducted from the graveside at the John W. Taylor Cemetery on Wednesday, March 1, 2016 at 1:00 p.m., with The Reverend Bobby Parks officiating.
