Life Legacy
Mrs. Kathleen Davis "Kitty" Annis, 75, wife of Earl W. Annis, Jr. and a resident of Parksley, VA, passed away at Shore Memorial Hospital in Nassawadox, VA, on Thursday, March 26, 2009.
Born on May 9, 1933 in Conway, NC, she was the daughter of the late Sawyer Davis and Miner Woodard Davis. Mrs. Annis was retired from Perdue Farms, Inc., and greatly enjoyed fishing and gardening.
Other than her husband, survivors include four children, Johnny Bruce Collier of Plymouth, NC, Rodger L. Collier of Roanoke Rapids, NC, Brenda Audette of Fayetteville, NC and Jan Miller of Roanoke, VA; three step-children, Debbie Mears, Teresa Johnson and E.W. Annis; three sisters, Gwendolyn Martin of Rich Square, NC, Magelean Edwards of Ahoskie, NC, and Betty Lucas of Jackson, NC; two brothers, Joe Carlton Davis of Conway, NC and Dean Davis of Jackson, NC; and several grandchildren, step-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Donald Eugene Collier; a sister, Margaret Archer; and a brother, Marshall Davis.
Funeral services will be conducted from the Massey Funeral Home in Jackson, NC on Monday, March 30, 2009 at 2:00 PM. Interment will be in the Davis Family Cemetery in Jackson.
