Life Legacy
Mr. Larry Stuart Annis, 64, of Guilford, VA, passed away on Wednesday, January 5, 2011, at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital in Norfolk, VA.
Born on August 3, 1946 in Nassawadox, VA, he was the son of Marjorie Pryor Annis of Guilford, and the late Stuart Annis. Larry was a former waterman, and had worked at the Saxis Clam House and for Campbell's Soup in Pocomoke, MD. He attended the Independent Pilgrim Church in Parksley.
Other than his mother, survivors include a son, William Rodney Annis and his wife Carol of Clam, VA; a granddaughter, Renae Jean Williams and her husband Chris of Salisbury, MD; a step-grandson, Justin Davenport of Clam; four great-grandchildren, Maria Nicole, Christopher, Jr., Aubrey Ann and Emily Elizabeth; an uncle, Richard Annis and wife Judy of Guilford; an aunt, Betty Satchell and husband Morris of Hebron, MD; and three cousins, Faye Johnson of Hebron, Becky Justis and husband Lewis of North Carolina, and Todd Satchell of Indian Head, MD.
Funeral services will be conducted from the chapel of the Williams-Parksley Funeral Home on Saturday, January 8, 2011 at 2:00 PM with Pastor Wayne Asbury officiating. Interment will follow at the Liberty Cemetery in Parksley. There will be a visitation at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
