Life Legacy
Mrs. Robin Ashby Nelson, wife of Randall J. Nelson Sr. claimed the promise of the resurrection early Thursday morning, April 19th at Shore Memorial Hospital in Nassawadox.
She was born October 19th, 1953, the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Albert R. Ashby of Exmore. A resident of Belle Haven, she worked for many years at the former Farmers and Merchants bank in Belle Haven, now Mercantile Peninsula. She and Randy had been married for 33 years. She was a member of Epworth United Methodist Church, where she served as a Sunday school teacher for many years.
She is survived by her husband Randy, their daughter Nan Nelson Stein & her husband Aaron Stein; her son Randall J.Joseph Nelson, by her mother and Father Mr. & Mrs. Albert R. Ashby, by her brother Albert R. A.R. Ashby Jr. & his wife Susan & their son Andrew, and by numerous other relatives and friends both on and off the Shore. She will be remembered for never meeting a stranger, and having a kind word for all. Her family feels blessed to have loved such an incredible person.
Funeral services will be conducted from the Epworth United Methodist Church in Exmore on Sunday, April 22, 2007, at 3:00 p.m. with the Rev. Mike Harrington and the Rev. Elizabeth Freund officiating. Interment will follow in the Belle Haven Cemetery. There will be a visitation at the church one hour prior to the service.
