Life Legacy
Mrs. Willye L. Fox, 95, wife of the late Harold Burton Fox and a lifelong resident of Wachapreague, VA passed away Thursday, November 8, 2007, at Heritage Hall in Nassawadox, VA.
Born on June 17, 1912, Mrs. Fox was the daughter of the late Thomas Edward "Eddie T." Hargis and Minie A. Watkinson Hargis. She was a homemaker, a graduate of Central High School in Painter, VA, and a member of Ocean View United Methodist Church in Wachapreague.
Survivors include a daughter, Gayle F. Godwin of Fulshear, TX; three grandchildren, Brad Godwin and his wife Heather of Houston, TX; Gary Savage of Georgia and Jerry Dean Savage and his wife Leslie of Parksley, VA; and two great-grandchildren, Ryan Godwin of Houston and Jared Savage of Parksley. She was predeceased by a daughter, Gloria Savage, formerly of Onancock.
Funeral services will be conducted from the chapel of the Williams-Onancock Funeral Home on Sunday, November 11, 2007, at 2:00 p.m. with the Rev. G. Wayne Parsley officiating. Interment will follow in the Edgehill Cemetery in Accomac.
Flowers will be accepted or memorial donations may be made to the Shore Cancer Center, P.O. Box 17, Nassawadox, VA 23413 or to the Charity of One's Choice.
