Life Legacy


Keith Allen Holland, 52, husband of Rebecca Rusmiselle Holland and father of William Garrett Holland, a resident of Hampton, Virginia, died at his home on the morning of June 27, 2012.

Keith was born in Norfolk, Virginia on February 29, 1960. He was the son of Willie L. Holland, Jr. and Virginia C. Holland of Parksley, Virginia. He lived in Parksley for nineteen years and graduated from Broadwater Academy and The Eastern Shore Community College. He also attended Virginia Commonwealth University. Keith was affiliated with the Laymen’s Home Missionary Movement.
Keith was employed as a radio announcer at WESR while attending high school and college and at WTVR in Richmond, Virginia. He was later also employed at C&P Telephone, AT&T, Gateway and Canon ITS.

Keith enjoyed the theater and performed in plays with the Eastern Shore Community Theater and in community theater in Newport News. Keith was involved with the Society for Creative Anachronism where he met many close friends and his beloved wife, Becky.

Mr. Holland is survived by his wife, son, parents and his brother, Kevin L. Holland of Burke, Virginia and sister, Karen Strickland of Raleigh, North Carolina.

A memorial service will be held at the Williams-Parksley Funeral Home on Saturday, June 30, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. with Brother Leon Snyder officiating. There will be a visitation at the funeral home one hour prior the service.
