Mrs. Anna Catherine Wiszowaty, 93, wife of the late Anthony Francis Wiszowaty and a resident of Onley, VA, formerly of Massapequa, NY, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Tuesday, November 13, 2018.
Born January 5, 1925 in New York, NY, she was a daughter of the late John Boylan and Mary Malvey Boylan. Anna, known to many as Anne, was raised in a catholic home and attended St. William the Abbot R.C. Church for many years. She enjoyed crocheting, often making afghans for her family, and she was rarely without a book in hand. Her proudest accomplishment was raising her four children, whom she very much adored. As the matriarch of the Wiszowaty family, her presence will be greatly missed, however the many memories shared will be forever cherished.
Survivors include her children, Deborah Dlhopolsky and husband Luke of Warwick, RI, Anthony Wiszowaty and wife Lea of Brooklyn, NY, and Arlene Evans and husband Richie of Onley; sister-in-law, K.C. Wiszowaty of Cobleskill, NY; two sisters; ten grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her son, Thomas Wiszowaty; a brother; and three sisters.
Funeral services will be held at the Calverton National Cemetery, in Calverton, NY, on Monday, November 19, 2018 at 2:00 p.m., where she will be laid to rest with her beloved husband.
