We affectionally called her Aunt Betty because of our love and fondness of the Savage family....Aunt Betty apparently had quite the fan club...oh she was feisty and told you just what she thought, but her heart was made of pure gold...many people have reflected her generosity in their condolences....I'm sure there are many more unspoken and unwritten circumstances where she was just as generous and giving....she was a corporate CEO when women weren't recognized for their business savvy....she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother-roles she loved wholeheartedly...she lived a long life and will be greatly missed...

A R and family - My deepest sympathy to you all. Miss Betty was one of the first people at Epworth to embrace me when I started attending after moving back to the Shore. I loved talking with her when we would cross paths in Walmart and at church. She was a dear lady and will be greatly missed. So very sorry for your loss.

Dear Ashby/Nelson Family - So sad to think Betty is gone but I know she is happy with Robin, Bert and others. She and mom have a lot of catching up to do and I am sure that they are sharing stories as they loved to do. The good memories will help and I know you have many. What a special lady and "forced to be reckoned with". Sue

I am so sorry to hear about Momma Betty. I loved visiting you guys and getting to catch up. She was also so much fun - vivacious, opinionated, fiercely loyal. It's a big loss. Please know I am thinking of you.

To Betty's family:
I am so saddened to read of Betty's passing. I last spoke to Betty on her birthday and the conversation was short and knowing how much Betty liked to talk I knew she was very sick.
She and I had become good friends and I will surely miss her.
May God bless her loving family at this sad time.

To AR, Susan, Andrew, Nan, Joseph, Alicia, Nathan & all her family. Betty was a good friend for many, many years. I once told her that she was the kind of person that you never had to wonder where she stood on any particular subject. In truth she had a heart of gold. After Joseph called me this morning all I could think of both then and now is that awesome reunion between "Daddy Bert", "Big Betty" and dear Robin whom I still miss and think of every day. Our love as well as our prayers go out to all who knew and loved Betty. She was one of a kind.

To the Family: I have known your Mother, Grandmother, and whatever family title she bore, as long as I became able to remember anyone. I found her to always be the same. She was BETTY. In our later years, I enjoyed the tours we were on together with friends. Putting our sorrows aside for a little while, we laughed and had fun. I have lost a good friend whom I will greatly miss. Now, she is with those she loved so dearly. 'Til we meet again, Betty. Lorraine
