Mr. William Otis “Bill” Lazenby, 85, husband of Mary Rose Lazenby and a resident of Atlantic, VA, passed away Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at his home.
Born November 16, 1932 in Shady Dale, GA and reared in Onancock, VA, he was a son of the late Otis Persley Lazenby and Jessie Mae Mckenzie Lazenby. He was a member of the American Legion Chincoteague Post 159 and the Melfa Flying Club. Although flying was Bill’s greatest passion, he also enjoyed fishing and watching Jeff Gordon win NASCAR races. Known as “Mr. Fix It”, Bill was always tinkering with something, often to his family’s dismay. Bill cherished every moment spent with his family, and he especially adored his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. His presence will be greatly missed, and his memory forever cherished.
