Mr. Donald Wayne “Bo” Taylor, 61, resident of Bloxom, VA, passed away Monday, January 29, 2018 at his residence. Born August 25, 1956 in Nassawadox, VA, he was a son of the late Emory James Taylor and Ida Mae Scott Taylor. As a longtime waterman, Bo spent much of his time on the water and there were few places he’d rather be. He also enjoyed hunting and loved to play slow pitch softball.
Survivors include his three children, Tracy Taylor White and husband Lance of Laurel, DE, Lane Taylor and wife Alicia of San Antonio, TX, and Donald Taylor of Bloxom; four sisters, Mary Grace Cline of Melfa, VA, Billie June Taylor of Lynchburg, VA, and JoAnn Carey and Laura Mae Trader, both of Saxis, VA; four brothers, Emory Thomas Taylor and wife Sharon of New Church, VA, Gregory Dennis Taylor, Sr. of Guilford, VA, Timothy Ray Taylor and wife Shirley of Greenbush, VA, and William Carroll Taylor and wife Dianne of Bloxom; six grandchildren, Ricky and Taylor Johnson, Codie and Jacob White, Warren Johnson, and Olivia Taylor; two great-grandchildren, Kailynn Gardner and Riley Johnson; best friend, Jimmy Bridges; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a daughter, Angie Johnson; and sister, Mary Grace Taylor.
A memorial service will be held at the Bloxom Volunteer Fire Company on Saturday, February 3, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. with The Reverend Mark Layne officiating.
