Cherry Edwards

Mrs. Cherry Scott Edwards, 73, wife of the late E. Dean Edwards and a resident of Onancock, VA, passed away on Friday, May 18, 2018, at Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital in Onancock, VA.

Born August 15, 1944 in Nassawadox, VA, she was a daughter of Marie Chambers Scott of Onancock, and the late Joseph Lynwood Scott.  Cherry retired as a bookkeeper with Accomack County Schools, and was a member of Market Street United Methodist Church.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her two sons, L. Scott Edwards and wife Jennifer, of Greenbush, VA, and D. Brent Edwards and wife Karen, of Onancock; sister, Jane S. James of Onancock; four grandchildren, Brad Taylor, Kayla Turner and husband David, Ashleigh Edwards, and Ryan Edwards; great-granddaughter, Allison Turner; and nephew, Adam James.

Funeral services will be conducted from the graveside at the Fairview Lawn Cemetery in Onancock, Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at 2:00 p.m., with Pastor Robert Fletcher officiating.
