Mr. Daniel Keith “Danny” Bloxom, Sr., 61, husband of the late Jackie Lou Marsh Bloxom, and a resident of Melfa, VA, passed away Saturday, January 27, 2018 at Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital.
Born September 9, 1956 in Nassawadox, VA, he was a son of Kathryn Milliner “Kitty” Bloxom of Melfa and the late Alton Cecil “Sass” Bloxom, Sr. Danny had a lifelong passion for cars, which he expressed through his work as a mechanic and through his love for drag racing. He enjoyed playing golf and is among the lucky few who have achieved a hole-in-one at the Eastern Shore Yacht and Country Club, was a member of Onancock Baptist Church and attended Melfa United Methodist Church, and was a proud and faithful fan of the Washington Redskins.
In addition to his mother, Danny is survived by his son, Daniel K. Bloxom, Jr. and wife, Melanie of Franktown, VA; brother, A.C. Bloxom, Jr. and wife Eileen of Virginia Beach, VA; grandchildren, Taylor Bloxom and Madison Long; niece, Kathryn Parks; and nephew, Jonathan Bloxom.
A memorial service will be held at the Onancock Baptist Church on Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at 2:00 p.m., with The Reverend Andy Cobb officiating. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.
