Darlene Hostetter

Mrs. Mary “Darlene” Hostetter, 56, wife of Brett B. Hostetter and a resident of Chesapeake, VA, formerly of Quinby, VA, passed away Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at her son’s home in Chesapeake. 

Born December 20, 1960 in Livingston, LA, she was the daughter of the late John Dawson Andrews and Cornelia Edwards Andrews.  Darlene was a registered nurse and worked for Intrepid USA Healthcare as a home health nurse, for many years.  She loved caring for others, and was especially devoted to her family and never missed an opportunity to spoil her grandchildren.  Darlene attended Central Baptist Church, and enjoyed cooking and being on the water, whether she was fishing, at the beach, or cruising the beach front.    

In addition to her husband, she is survived by four children, Clint Carpenter of Chesapeake, Max Hostetter of Quinby, Nacole Summers of Virginia Beach, VA, and Danielle Montoya of Mears, VA; three brothers, David, Travis, and Kenneth Andrews; and four grandchildren, Shane and Sydney Summers, and Juliana and Joelle Northam. 

Funeral services will be conducted from the chapel of the Williams-Onancock Funeral Home on Sunday, November 19, 2017 at 3:00 p.m., with The Reverend Kenneth “Bo” Helms officiating.  Visitation will be held at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. 

Flowers will be accepted, or memorial contributions may be made in Darlene’s memory to Intrepid Hospice, P.O. Box 770, Onley, VA 23418.
