Deborah Marie Lasnier

Ms. Deborah Marie Lasnier, 64, resident of Chincoteague Island, VA, passed away Friday, October 26, 2018 at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury, MD.  Born April 13, 1954 on Chincoteague, she was a daughter of the late Victor Lasnier and Gloria Ferrera Lasnier.  

Deborah received her associates degree from Briarwood College and worked in manufacturing, as a buyer, for 35 years.  She loved life and lived it to the fullest, never missing an opportunity to spend time with family and friends.  Deborah enjoyed socializing with new and old friends, often meeting them for water aerobics, days at the beach, or playing Canasta and Bingo.  She had a great interest in history and genealogy, loved taking pictures, gardening, decorating, and collecting seashells, and was known for her love of Motown music.      

Survivors include her daughter, Deidre Marie Carroll of Chincoteague; three sisters, Nancy Larsen and husband Wayne of Winsted, CT, Victoria Clarke and husband Michael of Tolland, MA, and Vivian Bates and husband Steve of Hampstead, NH; uncle, George Ferrera and wife Janet of Trumbull, CT; five nieces, Erika Larson, Danielle Hobbs, Katherine Stillson, Jennifer Clarke, and Lillian Melton; two nephews, Andrew Kooken and Steven King; several loving cousins; countless devoted friends; and her beloved cat, “Christine.”  In addition to her parents, Deborah was predeceased by her nephew, Victor Larson. 

A celebration of Deborah’s life, and her 65th birthday, will be held at the pavilion of the Chincoteague Veteran’s Memorial Park on Saturday, April 13, 2019 from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m.
