Mr. Harry Lee Shelton, 92, husband of the late Louise Tyndall Shelton and a resident of Onancock, VA, passed away on Saturday, August 25, 2018, with his children by his side.
Born August 8, 1926 in Wachapreague, VA, he was a son of the late Elmer Shelton and Mollie Kellam Shelton. Following his service in the United States Army, Harry began working as a route salesman for RC Cola, and later for Pepsi-Cola where he became a supervisor, retiring after more than thirty years with the company. Harry was the beloved patriarch of his family, and his presence will be greatly missed by his loved ones.
Survivors include his four children, Anna Rosette Heslep and husband Neil of Crimora, VA, Barbara Lilliston of Onancock, Gene Page Shelton of Painter, and Harry Lee Shelton, Jr. of Richmond, VA; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, all of whom he adored. In addition to his wife and parents, he was predeceased by his son, Brian Dale Shelton; daughter, Eileen Shelton Thomas; and his siblings.
Funeral services will be conducted from the chapel of the Williams-Onancock Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 29, 2018 at 2:00 p.m., with The Reverend Andy Cobb officiating. Interment will follow in the Fairview Lawn Cemetery. There will be a visitation at the funeral home on Tuesday, August 28, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
