Jean Georgiana Mears

Jean Georgiana Mears, 87, of Nancock Gardens, Onancock, VA, passed away on Sunday, August 5, 2018, at Heritage Hall Nursing Center in Nassawadox, VA.

Born January 6, 1931 in Exmore, VA, she was the daughter of the late Samuel Bernard Turner and Estelle Pearson Barger.  Mrs. Mears was a bookkeeper for the former Eller Tire Company, and later for Moore’s Trucking.

Her family includes a daughter, Hope G. Moore of Onancock, VA; a son, Carlton Hart of Nassawadox; three grandchildren, Gina Taylor and her husband Willie, and Sean Hart and his wife Crystal, and Devin Moore, who predeceased her in 2013; three great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and late brother, S.J. Turner.

To honor her wishes, no public services will be held, however, the family welcomes friends who wish to visit at this time.
