Lee Beers

Mrs. Frances S. (Lee) Beers, 87, passed away on Monday September 18, 2017 at her home, surrounded by her loved ones, in Ocean View, Delaware.

She was the wife of the William H. Beers for 40 years, and was a former resident of Hunting Creek, Virginia.

Born at Steiners Hill, Jefferson, Maryland on December 27, 1929, Mrs. Beers was the daughter of the late Francis Leo Steiner and Ruth E. Smith Steiner.

Mrs. Beers was a graduate of Brunswick High School Class of 1947, and Easton School of Nursing Class of 1951.  Mrs. Beers spent most of her career as a Lab Tech at Duponts in Seaford, DE.

During her youth, she was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church of Jefferson, MD.  She was the sister of the late Eileen Steiner Carmack, and is survived by her sister, Winifred Steiner Kohlhoss of Poolesville, MD, and her brother-in-law, Marion Carmack of Frederick, MD, several nieces and nephews, and her beloved forever friend, Norma Lee Hitchens and family, of Ocean View, DE.

Mrs. Beers gave lots of love to her furbabies, past and present.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon on Wednesday, September 20, 2017, at the Ocean View Chapel of Melson Funeral Services, 38040 Muddy Neck Rd., Ocean View, DE  19970, where the service will begin at 12:00 noon.  Interment will be on Thursday, September 21st at 11:00 a.m., at Parksley Cemetery, Parksley, VA.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials in the name of Lee Beers to Delaware Hospice, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE  19963.
