Leopoldo Bonilla, de 62 años, esposo de Zorylu Bonilla y residente de Onancock, VA, falleció el jueves 31 de mayo de 2018 en el Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital. Leo nació el 1 de febrero de 1956 en Soatá, Boyacá, Colombia, al difunto Octavio Bonilla Valdeleón y María Luisa Franco de Bonilla. Como conocido emprendedor y hombre de negocios en la costa este, Leo era amado por muchos y será muy extrañado en toda la comunidad.

Además de su esposa, le sobreviven tres hijos, David Chuquin y su esposa Kacey de Nueva York, NY, Sebastian Luis Bonilla y Leonardo Andres Bonilla, ambos de Onancock, y Kacey Chuquin de Maurertown, VA; hermanas, Benigna Bonilla Franco y Cecilia Boniall Franco; hermanos, José Vicente Bonilla Franco y su esposa Debbie, Gonzalo Bonilla Franco y su esposa Julia, Adolfo Bonilla Franco y su esposa Amparo, Octavio Bonilla Franco y su esposa Nabia, y Samuel Bonilla Franco; nueve sobrinas y cinco sobrinos. Aparte de sus padres, fue fallecido por un hijo, Camilo Chuquin; hermano, Eliseo Bonilla Franco; y cuñado, Gene Pryor.

Se realizará un servicio conmemorativo en Rock Church of the Eastern Shore el domingo 3 de junio de 2018 a las 2:00 p.m., con el pastor Paul Nolz oficiando. Una recepción seguirá al servicio en el salón social de la iglesia.

Leopoldo Bonilla, 62, husband of Zorylu Bonilla and a resident of Onancock, VA, passed away Thursday, May 31, 2018 at Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital.  Leo was born on February 1, 1956 in Soatá, Boyacá, Colombia, to the late Octavio Bonilla Valdeleón and Maria Luisa Franco de Bonilla.  As a well-known entrepreneur and business man on the Eastern Shore, Leo was loved by many and will be greatly missed throughout the community.  

In addition to his wife, he is survived by three children, David Chuquin and wife Kacey of New York, NY, Sebastian Luis Bonilla and Leonardo Andres Bonilla, both of Onancock, and Kacey Chuquin of Maurertown, VA; sisters, Benigna Bonilla Franco and Cecilia Boniall Franco; brothers, José Vicente Bonilla Franco and wife Debbie, Gonzalo Bonilla Franco and wife Julia, Adolfo Bonilla Franco and wife Amparo, Octavio Bonilla Franco and wife Nabia, and Samuel Bonilla Franco; nine nieces and five nephews.  Other than his parents, he was predeceased by a son, Camilo Chuquin; brother, Eliseo Bonilla Franco; and brother-in-law, Gene Pryor.

A memorial service will be held at Rock Church of the Eastern Shore on Sunday, June 3, 2018 at 2:00 p.m., with Pastor Paul Nolz officiating.  A reception will follow the service in the church social hall. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 4217 Park Place Court, Glen Allen, VA 23069-9979.
