Mary Lou Hamm

Mrs. Mary “Lou” Hamm, 75, wife of the late Ronald Lynn “Ron” Hamm, and a resident of New Church, VA, passed away Monday, August 21, 2017 at her home.  She was born on August 12, 1942 in Crisfield, MD.

Lou was a longtime caregiver and a member of Atlantic United Methodist Church.  Throughout her life she was a devoted advocate for animals, often donating to the S.P.C.A. and various animal rescue organizations.  Lou led many teams for Relay for Life and was a member of the Red Hat Society. 

Survivors include her four children, Tim Johnson and wife Denise of Atlantic, VA, Vicky Face and husband Jim of Richmond, VA, Fred Johnson of Fruitland, MD, and Angelica Barfield and husband Randy of Bloxom, VA; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In accordance with her wishes, there will be no public services.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the S.P.C.A., P.O.Box, 164, Onley, VA 23418.
