Mrs. Nancy Butler Turlington, 89, beloved wife of William Turlington II and a resident of Lutherville, MD, passed away Sunday, August 6, 2017. 

Born July 5, 1928 in Tampa, FL, she was the daughter of the late Frank L. Butler and Lois Rodgers Butler.  Nancy graduated from the University of Tennessee, receiving a degree as a certified physical therapist.  Following graduation, she continued her studies in Albany, NY, and in the early 50's, began working at the former Kernan Hospital, in Baltimore, MD, during the polio epidemic.  In 1953, Nancy and William were married.  Throughout their sixty-four years of marriage, they raised eight children, loved one another unconditionally, and made countless memories.  Nancy was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, whose love and dedication was constant and unwavering and will be forever remembered.

In addition to her husband, Nancy is survived by their children, Frank Turlington, John Turlington and wife Cindy, William Turlington III and wife Susie, James Turlington and wife Susanne, David Turlington and wife Patricia, Robert Turlington and wife Debbie, Anne Gale Sturgill and husband Dennis, and Susan Wenrich and husband Don; twenty-nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted from the chapel of the Williams-Onancock Funeral Home on Saturday, August 12, 2017 at 11:00 a.m., with The Reverend Andy Cobb officiating.

Interment will follow in the Mount Holly Cemetery. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Shriners Hospitals for Children, 2900 Rocky Point Drive, Tampa, FL 33607.
