Mr. Norman John Mullins, 83, husband of the late Ruth Lois Mullins and a resident of Riverside Shore Rehabilitation Center, in Parksley, VA, passed away Wednesday, September 20, 2017 surrounded by his loving family.

Born November 12, 1933 in Richmond Hills, Queens, NY, he was a son of the late Frank Mullins and Florence Yeager Mullins.  Norman briefly served his country in the United States Navy.  For many years, he worked for a couple different airlines in the ramp services area at JFK Airport, and later worked at Sperry Corp., a government contracting company.  In the late 80’s, Norman and Ruth retired to the Eastern Shore where they enjoyed countless days fishing and boating and became members of the Atlantic United Methodist Church.  Married nearly sixty years, Norman and Ruth adored one another and were devoted and caring parents, grandparents, and great-grandparents who will be greatly missed and forever remembered.

Norman is survived by his four children, Susan Flora and husband James of Patchogue, NY; Terry Merksamer and husband Marc of Brentwood, NY, Viki House and husband Paul of Atlantic, VA, and William Mullins and wife Mary Anna of New Church; sister, Honey Ryan and husband Jack of Wantagh, NY; seven grandchildren, Jimmy Flora, Michael House, Joshua Merksamer, Felicia Genova, Daniel Merksamer, Brandy Lynne Clark, and Rachael Mullins; three great-grandsons, Gage, Dimitri, and Zarek; and several nieces and nephews.
