Paula L. Roy

Mrs. Paula L. Roy, 71, wife of Douglas Roy and a resident of Onley, VA, passed away Saturday, September 22, 2018 at Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital in Onancock, VA.

Born May 29, 1947 in Waterbury, CT, she was a daughter of the late Vince Lombardi and Irene Alfred Lombardi.  Paula was a raised in a catholic home and attended Saint Peter and Paul Catholic Church, in Waterbury.  For more than 14 years, she worked as bookkeeper for Scovill Manufacturing Company, and later, for Atlantic Building Contractors.  Paula loved playing cards with friends and won many Setback card tournaments over the years, and in their younger days, she and Douglas enjoyed square dancing.   Following her husband’s retirement, they relocated to the Eastern Shore where they have lived for the last decade. 

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a sister, Veronica Clift; three brothers, Vince, Vance, and Veto Lombardi; and several nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Mass will be held at Saint Peter the Apostle Catholic Church, in Onley, VA, on Sunday, September 30, 2018 at 2:30 p.m., with Father Rogelio L. Abadano officiating.
