Ronnie Lee Denston, Sr.

Mr. Ronald Lee “Ronnie” Denston, Sr., 73, husband of Yvonne Jones Denston, who celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on June 4, 2017, passed away at his home in Melfa, VA, on Tuesday, March 13, 2018, surrounded by his loving family and his "angel", Dana Roop Lilliston.  Ronnie was born on April 3, 1944, in Crisfield, MD, to the late Beverly Francis Denston and Madeline Dryden Duval.

Ronnie loved working on the water aboard his boat, the “Shannon Yvonne”, feeding ducks and geese, and car racing, but he especially loved being with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, the apples of his eye. 

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Rhonda Arrowood and husband David of Melfa, Ronald Lee “Ron Ron” Denston, Jr. of Melfa, and Diane Annis and husband Franklin of Keller, VA; brothers, Beverly Denston and wife Teresa of Deep Creek, VA, and Samuel Williams and wife Patty of Jamesville, VA; sister, Sandra Williams of Deep Creek; grandchildren, John Dennis Diamond, Shannon Norton, Kristina Metz Denston, Jarrett Annis, McKinzie Denston, Jayda Edwards, Taylor Denston, and Luke Denston; great-grandchildren, Jace and Evan Diamond, Jordyn and Carson Shreaves, Kamden Norton, Kaden and Tre Mason, and Malaaya Snead.

Funeral services will be conducted from the graveside at the Fairview Lawn Cemetery on Saturday, March 17, 2018 at 2:00 p.m., with The Reverend Albert L. Crockett officiating.
