Mrs. Thelma Miller Taylor, 81, wife of the late Kenneth Reed Taylor, Jr. and a lifelong resident of Parksley, VA, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 29, 2018 at Shore Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Born September 2, 1937 in Onancock, VA, she was a daughter of the late Charlie Lee Miller and Daisey Carmine Miller. Thelma was a graduate of Parksley High School and worked for the former R & G Shirt Factory, in Parksley, for many years. Raised in a Christian home, Thelma was a devoted member of Independent Pilgrim Church and proudly lived her life in service to her Lord and Savior.
Thelma is survived by two brothers, Winfred P. “Whitey” Miller and wife Clara and Gerald L. Miller and wife Shelby, all of Bloxom, VA; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by five sisters and six brothers.
Funeral services will be conducted from the chapel of the Williams-Parksley Funeral Home on Saturday, December 1, 2018 at 2:00 p.m., with The Reverend Wayne Asbury and Mr. Mike Barnes officiating. Private interment will follow in the Liberty Cemetery. There will be a visitation at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
