Thomas Ellis Skeel

Mr. Thomas Ellis Skeel, Jr., 72, husband of Joanne Skeel and a resident of Bloxom, VA, passed away Saturday, October 13, 2018, with his loving family by his side.

Born September 2, 1946 in Cleveland, OH, he was the eldest son of Thomas E. Skeel, Sr. and Jane H. Skeel. Tom enjoyed spending time with his family, reading books, and watching western movies, sports and the news. A dedicated member of St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church, Tom graciously donated what spare time he had to his church and was always willing to help raise and collect money to assist other members of the congregation. Additionally, he was a member and treasurer of the Knights of Columbus.

In addition to his wife of 33 years, he is survived by three sons, James (Jennifer) Skeel, Tim (Rachel) Skeel, and Teejay (Brittany) Masadao Skeel; sister, Laura (Cliff) Seaholm; brother, Peter (Tara) Skeel; seven grandchildren, Alyssia, Aubry, Timmy, Emma, and Annie Skeel, and Reiyu and Ronin Masadao Skeel; two nephews, Rob and Stewart Skeel; and countless friends, including special friend, Manuel Salazar. Other than his parents, he was predeceased by his infant sister, Sara H. Skeel.

A memorial mass will be held at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church, in Onley, VA, on Saturday, October 20, 2018 at 10:00 a.m., with Father Rogelio L. Abadano officiating. Private interment will be held at the Lakeview Cemetery, in Cleveland.
