Austin White Obituary

Austin Kelly White, 33, of Parksley, VA, formerly of Gun Barrel City, TX, passed away on Friday, October 4, 2024. Austin was born on December 16, 1990, in Dallas, TX, the beloved youngest child of Kelly and Elise White.

After graduating from Mabank High School, Austin served his country as a corpsman in the U.S. Navy. Always compassionate and willing to help others, he became a medic. Those years helped develop his love of travel and dedication to pursuing music.

Austin loved performing and writing music and it was a big part of his life wherever he went. It was his passion to play music, and he had the opportunity to play on some big stages.

He had many friends from across the country and enjoyed spending time with them. He was the youngest of the family and made his family so proud of him. He was truly loved and will be missed by many.

Austin found peace when he was outdoors in nature. Camping with his siblings and parents brought good memories--teasing each other around the camper or bringing a little competition to just about anything. He also had an eye for photography and took many pictures chronicling the time he spent in Italy. In his younger years, Austin attended Cedar Creek Bible Church in Seven Points, TX.

He was a big dreamer, smart, and had lots of ideas. He constructed, and built those ideas into some amazing positions at some of the top companies in the country, including Rocket Lab, Relativity Space, The Boring Company, and Space X.

Austin is now at peace and in the presence of his Savior Jesus Christ. His family has peace in knowing that Austin had accepted Christ as his savior and believed in the redeeming work of Christ on the cross. Because of this work we have assurance we will be seeing him in Heaven one day.

Left to cherish his memory are his parents, Kelly Lee White and Elise Elizabeth White, of Gun Barrel City, TX; siblings, Hannah Kaser and husband, Jeremy Kaser, of Blanchard, OK, Justin White and wife, Lauren White, of Eustace, TX, and Tyler White of Ben Wheeler, TX; two nieces and three nephews; grandparents, Charlie and Kathy Bryant and Bud and Anna Metzler; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

A memorial service for Austin will be held Saturday, November 2, 2024, at 11:00 a.m., at Cedar Creek Bible Church, 700 North Seven Points Blvd., Seven Points, TX 75143 (903-432-2175).
