Barry Morton Williams, Jr., 59, lifelong resident of Tangier Island, VA, passed away Sunday, November 22, 2020 at his home. Born July 18, 1961, he was the son of the late Barry Morton Williams, Sr. and Nedra Smith Williams.
Barry served his country in the United States Airforce and worked for Bouchard Transportation Company, where he was a Tankerman-PIC for many years. He loved sports, and was especially fond of the San Francisco 49ers and the Duke Blue Devils. Above all else, he adored his family, and was particularly close to his mother and shared a special bond with his sister, Angie. Barry will be greatly missed by those he leaves behind, though they will find peace knowing he is now reunited with his parents and brother.
Survivors include his sister, Angela Williams Parks and her husband, Harry “Duke,” of Clayton, NC; aunt and uncle, Dottie and William Dise and their children, Debra and William Jr.; nieces and nephews, Dillon Smith Parks, Alexis Paige Parks, Samantha Marsh and her husband, Scottie, and Charlie Williams; great-niece and great-nephews, Carter, Cohen and Callie Marsh; sister-in-law, Caroline Williams; and several extended family members, including Mary Crockett and Dawn Hilton. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Edwin Smith “Eddie” Williams.
To honor Barry’s wishes, no public service will be held.
