Coley Robert “Bobby” Beasley, Jr., 74, loving husband of Peggy Ward Beasley and resident of Hallwood, VA, passed away Thursday, April 9, 2020 at his home. Born June 2, 1945 in Nassawadox, VA and raised in Parksley, VA, he was the son of the late Coley Robert Beasley, Sr. and Betty Virginia Core Beasley.
Bobby served his country in the United States National Guard and worked in the public works department for the Town of Parksley. In his younger years, Bobby enjoyed racing cars and spent much of his free time carving decoys.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Coley Robert Beasley III and his wife, Tonya, of Sanford, VA and Dawn Elizabeth Killmon and her husband, Tim, of Hacksneck, VA; sister, Shirley Mears and her husband, Herbert, of Greenbush, VA; brothers, John Bernard Beasley and his wife, Linda, of Southside Chesconnessex, VA and Thomas W. Beasley and his wife, Libby, of Bloxom, VA; grandchildren, Kyle, Cayce, Christopher, and Ashley Beasley, and Ricky and Danielle Rantz; great-grandson, Christopher Wilkinson; and several nieces and nephews. Other than his parents, he was predeceased by his sisters, Mary Ellen Miller; and nephew, Randy Miller.
To honor Bobby’s wishes, no public service will be held.
