Brenda Joyce (Russell) Fisher

Mrs. Brenda Joyce Fisher, 74, beloved wife of Forest Bramble Fisher, Jr. and a resident of Wilmington, NC, formerly of Onancock, VA, passed away Thursday, March 8, 2018 with her loving family at her side.  Brenda was born August 30, 1943 in Nassawadox, VA, to the late George Alondo Russell and Virginia Lee Rayfield Shreaves. 

Brenda enjoyed reading, puzzles, planting indoor and outdoor plants and flowers, and she especially enjoyed traveling to Florida.  She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and looked forward to time spent with her family, memories her loved ones will forever cherish. 

In addition to her husband of thirty years, she is survived by seven children, Lee Lilliston of Jacksonville, NC, Tammy LeCato and husband Jerry of Wilmington, Turk Lilliston and wife Michelle of Onancock, Troy Lilliston of Wilmington, Brenda Elbrey and husband Darcey of Canada, Debbie Langham of Wilmington, and Chuck Fisher of Virginia Beach, VA; two sisters, Debbie Gray and husband Carl of Greenbush, VA, and Connie Stevens of Onancock; a brother, Wade Russell and wife Jennette of Pocomoke, MD; seventeen grandchildren; twenty-two great-grandchildren; two nieces; and four nephews.  Other than her parents, she was predeceased by her son Tony Lilliston.

Funeral services will be conducted from the chapel of the Williams-Onancock Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at 11:00 a.m., with The Reverend Andy Cobb officiating.  Interment will follow in the Fairview Lawn Cemetery.  There will be a visitation at the funeral home on Tuesday, March 13, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
