Brenda Cropper Tyler, 79, passed away peacefully at her home in Accomac, VA on Friday, August 15, 2025 with her family by her side. Born March 16, 1946 in Nassawadox, VA and raised in Accomac, she was the daughter of the late Archie Lingo Cropper and Mary Virginia Williams Cropper.
Brenda graduated from Parksley High School and later moved to Crisfield, MD where she worked as a bookkeeper until her son was born. After moving back to Accomac and raising her son, Brenda returned to bookkeeping at Farmers and Merchants bank until retiring in the 90s. She was a former member of Drummondtown Baptist Church and remained dedicated to her faith throughout her life. Brenda could never resist a yard sale or an estate sale, loved animals, and absolutely adored her family.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her son, Steven Frankie Tyler; sister, Terry S. Cropper; and brother, Charles “Craig” Cropper and wife Kitty, all of Accomac; and two nephews, Michael and Andrew Cropper.
A private graveside service will be held at the Edgehill Cemetery.
Brenda’s family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff at both Shore Transport and Riverside Shore Hospice.
