Carol Ann (Wray) Barrineau

Carol Ann Wray Barrineau, 74, passed away from this life on Sunday, July 22, 2018.

Born January 11, 1944 in Baltimore, Maryland, she was a daughter of the late Mary and Pete Wray.  Carol attended Shenandoah University in Winchester, VA and Pan American Business School, in Richmond, VA, and later retired from NASA Wallops Flight Facility in February of 2012.  She was a member of Market Street United Methodist Church.

Carol is survived by her son, David Barrineau and wife Tiffany of Satellite Beach, FL, and their two children, Connor and Ariel; sister, Adelaide Hollandsworth of Onley, VA; nephews, Robert Hollandsworth, Jr. and wife Margaret of Bellevue, NE, Dr. Tom Hollandsworth and wife Mary of Onancock, VA, and Michael Hollandsworth and wife Linette of Colorado Springs, CO, and their children. Carol’s former husband is Colonel Ron Barrineau, U.S. Army Retired, of Colombia SC.  In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Frank Wray and her faithful dog, Bear.

Funeral services will be conducted from the chapel of the Williams-Onancock Funeral Home on Friday, July 27, 2018 at 1:00 p.m., with The Reverend J. Barton Weakley officiating.  Interment will follow in the Fairview Lawn Cemetery.
