Celia Mayo Gutiérrez, de 50 años, esposa de Jesús Vega Castillo y residente de Mappsville, VA, murió el sábado 25 de abril de 2020 en el Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital en Onancock, VA.

Nacida el 9 de octubre de 1969 en Carabali Grande, Las Vigas, Guerrero, México, era hija de Leonarda Gutiérrez Zuniga de Carabali Grande, Las Vigas, Guerrero y el fallecido Margarito Mayo Guatemala. Celia trabajó en Perdue Farms en Accomac, VA, y fue miembro de la Iglesia Bautista Hispana de Mappsville. Era una mujer trabajadora tanto en el trabajo como en su casa, era una gran cocinera, le gustaba ver películas, le encantaba estar con sus nietos y disfrutaba ir a la playa y jugar a la "lotería".

Además de su esposo y su madre, a Celia le sobreviven tres hijos, Carolina Vega-Mayo, Leonides Vega-Mayo y su esposo Juan Carlos Cruz-Amador, y Jesús Vega-Mayo y su esposa BréAsha Mo’Nay Fiddermon; sus nietos, Ricardo Montero-Vega, Lizeth Carolina Montero-Vega, Carlos Eduardo Cruz-Vega, Jesús Antonio Cruz-Vega, Leonardo Cruz-Vega, y el hijo menor y la esposa de Celia están esperando su primer hijo; hermana, Patricia Mayo-Gutiérrez; hermanos, Jacinto Mayo-Gutiérrez y Feliciano Mayo-Gutiérrez; y muchos miembros de la familia extendida y de la iglesia.

Los servicios privados junto a la tumba se llevarán a cabo en el cementerio Fairview Lawn en Onancock, VA.

Celia Mayo Gutierrez, 50, wife of Jesus Vega Castillo and a resident of Mappsville, VA, died Saturday, April 25, 2020 at Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital in Onancock, VA.

Born October 9, 1969 in Carabali Grande, Las Vigas, Guerrero, Mexico, she was the daughter of Leonarda Gutierrez Zuniga of Carabali Grande, Las Vigas, Guerrero, and the late Margarito Mayo Guatemala.  Celia worked at Perdue Farms in Accomac, VA, and was a member of Mappsville Hispanic Baptist Church.  She was a hard-working woman both at work and her home, was a great cook, liked watching movies, loved being with her grandchildren, and enjoyed going to the beach, and playing “loteria”.

In addition to her husband and mother, Celia is survived by three children, Carolina Vega-Mayo, Leonides Vega-Mayo and her husband Juan Carlos Cruz-Amador, and Jesus Vega-Mayo and his wife BréAsha Mo’Nay Fiddermon; her grandchildren, Ricardo Montero-Vega, Lizeth Carolina Montero-Vega, Carlos Eduardo Cruz-Vega, Jesus Antonio Cruz-Vega, Leonardo Cruz-Vega, and Celia’s youngest son and wife are currently expecting their first child; sister, Patricia Mayo-Gutierrez; brothers, Jacinto Mayo-Gutierrez and Feliciano Mayo-Gutierrez; and many extended and church family members.

Private graveside services will be held in the Fairview Lawn Cemetery in Onancock, VA.
