Chuck Parks

William Charles “Chuck” Parks, Jr., loving son, brother, and uncle, passed away Tuesday, February 25, 2020 at the age of 43. Born May 7, 1976 in Nassawadox, VA, he was the son of William Charles Parks, Sr. and Brenda Allen Parks of Onancock, VA.

Though Chuck was often a man of few words and preferred to fly under the radar, there were a few things that would ignite his passionate side. He knew everything about computers, both technologically and mechanically, and he spent a great deal of time studying weather patterns and predicting forecasts. Chuck’s excitement grew at the mere mention of barometric pressure, and he detested false weather predictions, never hesitating to express his opinion on the matter. As the only boy of four children, Chuck shared a special bond with his parents and sisters and loved spending time with family. Affectionately known as “Uncle Duck” to his nieces and nephews, and the many children who attended his mother’s daycare over the years, there wasn’t a kid he couldn’t’ make smile. As long as you didn’t butcher the weather report, or mess with his family or his cat, you’d find a beautiful heart of gold and a silly grin. Chuck’s life will forever be celebrated through the many memories made, stories shared, and love he gave.  

In addition to his parents, Chuck is survived by his sisters, Terri Parks Allen of Onancock, Lisa Parks Mason and her husband, Tom, of Accomac, VA, and Becki Parks of Parksley, VA; nieces and nephews, Colby, Kelsey, Jakob, Maci, and Casey; great-nieces and great-nephew, Olivia, Danny, and Mary Anna; and cat, “Pumpkin,” who was his best bud.

A funeral service will be conducted from the chapel of the Williams-Onancock Funeral Home on Monday, March 2, 2020 at 2:00 p.m., with The Reverend William Jefferson officiating. Interment will follow in the Fairview Lawn Cemetery. There will be a visitation at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
